Does Fair Park plan all events at Fair Park?
Fair Park is the venue of more than 350 events per year. These events are planned by other organizations which pay to use the facility. Fair Park staff books events, assists in their success, and maintains the facilities. Fair Park does, however, plan and implement the Washington County Fair and Annual Bridal Fair as well as other timely events when appropriate (Fall Festivals, Rodeos, Health Fairs).
Is Fair Park a county-run facility?
No, Washington County Agricultural and Industrial Society manages and operates Fair Park on behalf of the property owner (Washington County). Employees at Fair Park do not work for the County. Washington County Agricultural & Industrial Society is a not for profit organization run by volunteers and a small staff.
